- How long are quotes valid for, and what is included?
Our quotes are valid for 7 days and are subject to availability.
Terms and conditions apply. Our quoted price includes everything,
with no hidden extras. Refer to FAQ no 19 for outside office hours charges. Refer to FAQ no 25 for Airport return fees.
- What do I need to rent and drive a hire car?
- A valid open driver's licence (current Australian,
overseas and International Driver's licences).
- A cash or eftpos deposit of $750. If the damage liability is higher than $750, an amount equal to the amount of the damage liability level is required.
- A credit card at time of rental vehicle collection.
- How can I pay for my hire car?
The full rental for the agreed period is to be paid prior
to taking the vehicle. We accept

- What is my liability if my hire car is in an accident?
Under our standard hiring arrangements with drivers between
25 years and 75 years of age, you will be liable for the
first $2,000 in damages.
You can reduce this liability to $1250 by paying an additional $6 per day. Or you can reduce this liability to $250 by paying an additional $12 per day, or reduce it to ZERO by paying an additional $18 per day.
If any of your nominated drivers are aged 21 to 24 years
(inclusive), your liability is $2,500. This liability can
be reduced to $2,000 by paying $6 per day, or reduced to
$1500 by paying $18 per day.
Special arrangements may apply for drivers over 75 years.

- Can I arrange to waive my accident or damage liability?
This might be an option under Travel Insurance/Credit Card
Insurance Cover. You can find out more from your insurer
on the terms and conditions of these agreements.
- How do the Free Brisbane Airport Transfers work?
Our shuttle service is available to drive our customers
between our office and the airport during our normal business
hours. After hours pick up's are done on prior arrangement.
When returning your hire car please allow adequate time
before your departure flight for vehicle check in and travel
to the airport.
- Are there free transfers to or from other locations?
Yes. If you would like to be picked up and dropped off at
another location, this could be arranged with us in advance.
- Can I rent a car to drive one way (not return the hire
car to the Brisbane office)?
No. Sorry, we do not offer this service. All vehicles must
be returned to our Brisbane office.
- Is there any extra charge for multiple drivers?
No. There is no extra charge for nominating two or more
drivers. However, all drivers must meet hiring conditions
regarding driver's licence, age, etc.
- What about drivers aged 21 to 25 years?
No additional rental charges apply to drivers aged between
21 and 25 years.
- Who pays for fuel?
You will pay for the fuel you use. You must return the car with the same amount of fuel in the tank as at pick-up, except if another arrangement has been made.
- Where can I go in my rental car?
Our area of use is north to Bundaberg (QLD), south to Coff's
Harbour (NSW) and west to Dalby (QLD). Our cars may only
be driven on gazetted roads.
Special arrangements may apply for longer term rentals.

- Do you provide Roadside Assistance if I have a problem
with the hire car?
All our hire cars are covered by 24-hour RACQ roadside assistance.
We will provide you with the telephone number to call for
assistance. If the callout is of a mechanical nature we
will pay for it.
- Are Street Directories and Road maps provided?
All our hire cars are equipped with a street directory covering
the popular areas. GPS navigation systems are available for rent.
- Are baby seats and capsules available?
Yes. Baby seats, baby capsules and booster seats are available
on request. You fit the seat or capsule to ensure that it
is fitted to your satisfaction.
- What types of cars are available for hire?
Our hire vehicles are well maintained and consist of the
following:
- 4-cylinder compact sedans are Toyota Echos, Ford Festivas and Mazda 121
- 4-cylinder sedans and wagons are Toyota Camrys and
Mitsubishi Magnas.
- 6-Cylinder wagons are Ford Falcons and GM Holden
Commodores.
- UTES – Toyota Hilux.

- Can the price or type of vehicle I book be changed?
Changes are subject to price adjustments and vehicle availability at any time prior to you making full payment for the hire car period.
Where practicable, we will advise you in advance if your quoted price or vehicle type changes.
- What currency are prices listed on the Brisbane Rent
A Car website?
All pricing shown is in Australian Dollars. A conversion
table to other currencies can be found at http://www.xe.com
- Can I collect my hire car outside normal business
hours?
Yes. We do rentals after hours. Please enquire on the Quotes
and Bookings site or contact us by email or telephone for more information.
Free pickup during office hours.
After hours rentals will incur a fee of:
Weekdays:
- $25 between 17:00 & 21:00
- $35 between 21:00 & 05:00
- $25 between 05:00 & 07:30
Weekends and Public Holidays:
- $25 between 14:00 & 21:00
- $35 between 21:00 & 05:00
- $25 between 05:00 & 07:30
- Do I pay by the kilometres?
Rentals for 5 days or longer include unlimited kilometres
within our area of use. For rental periods of 1 to 4 days,
the first 200 kilometres per day are included. (That
is, you get 600 kilometres free in 3-day rentals, and 800
kilometres in 4-day rentals). Distances beyond the included
kilometres are charged at 25 cents (Australian) per kilometre.
- Is there a minimum rental period?
No, there is also no maximum.
- What is the process for collecting and returning a
hire car?
Once you have made your booking (online or by phone) we
will allocate a particular hire car for you at the cheap
car hire rate you choose (suitable for all budgets). Your credit card will not be
debited until you collect your hire car from
our office.
When you arrive at Brisbane airport, simply collect your
luggage and call us direct on 3868 1500. We will promptly
dispatch our customer service mini-bus (which is clearly
branded Brisbane Roadway Rent A Car) to collect you.
At our office, it will take only a few minutes to complete
the paperwork and hand you the keys to your rental car.
If you are paying by credit card, we only need to register
your card details. If you are not paying by credit card,
a cash or EFTPOS payment is required.
Our team will familiarise you with your hire car and answer
any questions you might have about the routes you are planning
to take your hire car.
- Does Brisbane Rent A Car have a privacy policy?
Yes. We are committed to ensuring your personal information
is protected and that your privacy is respected and strictly
observe the requirements of the privacy laws. For general

- Do you have any cars for sale
We have cars for sale throughout the year. All cars for
sale come with a roadworthy certificate and current registration.
Service history and warranties up to 36 month are available.
It is the ideal car for backpackers and students to buy.
Every hire car gets checked every time it has been rented
by our qualified mechanic and therefore all our cars are
well maintained and in good working order.
- Can I drop my car off at the Airport?
Yes. If arranged in advance for a nominal fee of $30 you can leave the rental car in the designated Off Airport car park at Brisbane International Airport.
